This 36 year old male will most likely become a type 5 or 6 with his present pattern of hair loss.
He still has very noticeable hair on the top of his head and along his hairline.
The frontal tuft of his hairline is very low.
My approach to a patient like this is to create a wider transition zone that peaks about 1 cm behind his hairline. This transplanted hairline will then blend with his natural hairline. If he does lose all the hair on top of his head, he has a hairline that is not too low and we will be able to match up his future hair loss with the donor he has left.

His graft count was as follows:
1 Hair FU: 891
2 Hair FU: 1561
3 Hair FU: 608
4 Hair FU: 127
Total FU: 3187
Total Hair: 6345

That's a solid result. One pass of only 3,187 FUs and the patient's frontal forelock is restored. It's also good planning. The height of the hairline will stand the test of time. I like the emphasis on focusing density in the frontal core and having a softer hairline as opposed to placing too much density right at the frontal hairline. In my opinion, this type of graft distribution is the best approach for men who are destined to be advanced norwoods.

Hi fixing it,

Here is the correct breakdown of grafts to haircount:

1's - 891 = 891 hairs
2's - 1561 = 3122 hairs
3's - 608 = 1824 hairs
4's - 127 = 508 hairs
total-3187 = 6345 hairs

Sorry for the mixup in our post.

Quote:
2's - 1591 = 3122 hairs
still don't add up.
but it's all good and really not a big deal considering the outcome and who's counting anyways
