Total of 2,613 grafts. Single hair follicular units were used in the frontal scalp. 2's-3's hair follicular units were used in the mid scalp and crown.

Post op photos will be posted during progression of growth.

Mr. GQ,

Whereas I agree that additional postoperative photos would be helpful, there are better and more respectful ways of asking.

I've spent a lot of time and energy getting doctors to post. The last thing they deserve is downright negativity.

Please be a bit more respectful and I expect it will go a lot further.

my transcript just sent to Bill via PM:

dear Bill ,

first of all let me tell you that I don't have a hair on my tongue, never had and never will. it is really surprising and somewhat disturbing that i'm receiving email this morning regarding my honest two replies to two different doctors. to me this feels like that i've been just slapped on the wrist by some third grade teacher for me behaving naughty. i honestly do not believe that i've crossed the line and that i deserved your "lesson". i also see it as a "first strike" with 3 strikes and you're out analogy. and what's on the third strike? termination of my account? it wouldn't surprise me since i've seen way too many of those in last year on both of the forums. arguing with moderators is #1 cause but that's not what I'm doing here. all i'm trying to accomplish by writing this replay to you is to stand my ground. what i did yesterday is i tried to present some kind of a constructive criticism to all of the doctors out there that don't document their photos right but to you it seemed that i've been trying to disrespect someone. if that was ever my intention, it would've been much uglier trust me. i would've let all this slide but the PM is what really struck the cord and made it all personal to me.

on these forums Bill we are all grown men otherwise we wouldn't be balding, and pretty much everybody can see the difference between good and bad and bullshit and truth. also i'm pretty sure that none of us like to have a teacher walking around the classroom with a "punishing stick" watching over us. what happened to freedom of speech all of a sudden? nobody else commented so personally to me nor did anyone PM me like you did regarding this whole issue, which feels to me like i'm disrupting some kind of agenda. it never even crossed my mind that my few harmless comments would scare off these two particular doctors nor was it my intention for that to happen. now don't get me wrong Bill, i understand your importance and purpose as a moderator on this forum but you need to take it easy and let some common sense take it's course dude. i know that you are doing a great job looking for spammers, idiots that post gibberish, shills and when you see them you rightfully kick them out and delete their posts, but to go personal with a legitimate poster like myself for no reason is a no-no and hinders the image and reputation of such a fine community. i know that you are a very bright guy Bill and your comments are very informative, but please take it easy with the "wrist slapping". if you look at the history of all my comments you will see that all I've been trying to do is to help some people, encourage the others, and to educate myself by asking few questions here and there. now i know that this might be my last post and i really hope that it's not, so i'll just say one more thing: all i'm doing is standing my ground and defending the freedom of speech and that's the bottom line!!!!

sincerely,
Benjamin M. aka Mr. GQ

Mr GQ,

I don't know why you felt my simple comment to you required such a long response, but I think I understand why it struck a chord with you. I have similar issues when I feel "scolded", especially as an adult.

However, as the moderator of this community, I try to be as encouraging as possible, both to patients and doctors.

Comments to doctors like "why even bother posting?" after I've spent a lot of time and energy convincing doctors to post is a bit insulting. Wouldn't you agree?

All I'm asking is, get your point across, be honest, but be more respectful.

Now try to relax and don't make my comment more than it is.

Bill

Mr GQ,

P.S. Since you wrote me the same reply privately and I responded privately, please reply to me in private if you want to continue this discussion, so this thread can stay on track.

Work looks fine, but it's a mighty large baldness pattern and not a relative-ton of grafts.

The top-down post-op would better show how far back the grafts went with approximate levels of density, though you mention going as far back as the crown. It seems like there is a stark contrast between some clinics who use "3k" or w/e and work as large an area as possible on NW5+ spread out all over, and others who dense-pack a more targeted area.

I don't necessarily have a preference, and as long as the patients have a good idea as to *what* kind of outcome there will most likely be I suppose it's just a different route to the same destination.

Bill,

now that the dust has settled, i'm willing and ready to drop this and move on. i hope you will too. but please let there be some flexibility when it comes to people's feelings and personal opinions. after all I thought and still think that that's the goal and sole purpose of this forum or any other public forum on the net for that matter.

peace

GQ

Dr. Rosanelli,
Although I already have had a procedure with you, I forgot what size blades you use, or if it has changed since I had my procedure a couple of years ago. Is it the same size for the hairline, and behind? Thanks
